TL;DR
- We don't require an account. You can use Hi AI Chat completely anonymously.
- Conversations are stored locally in your browser by default — not on our servers.
- We don't train AI models on your chats.
- We don't sell or share your data with advertisers.
- Cookies: only essential analytics (Google Analytics, no cross-site tracking).
1. What we collect
When you visit hichatai.app, we automatically collect:
- Standard web access logs (IP address, user agent, referrer) — processed by Cloudflare for security and aggregated analytics.
- Anonymous usage analytics via Google Analytics 4 (page views, button clicks, session length).
- If you choose to create an account, we store: your email address, optional display name, and your saved chats.
2. AI conversations
When you chat with a character, your messages are sent to the underlying AI model (GPT, Claude, Gemini, etc.) for processing. We do not:
- Store the conversation content on our servers unless you explicitly enable cloud sync.
- Use your conversations to train or fine-tune any AI model.
- Share conversations with third parties beyond the model provider needed to process the message.
Each model provider has its own data handling policy — review them at OpenAI, Anthropic, Google.
3. Cookies & local storage
We use only essential cookies and browser localStorage for:
- Remembering your selected character and model preference
- Saving your conversation history (localStorage, never sent to us)
- Google Analytics (anonymized IP, no personally identifying data)
You can clear everything by clicking Settings → Clear all data in the app, or via your browser's site data settings.
4. Your rights (GDPR, CCPA)
You have the right to:
- Access any personal data we have about you (if you created an account)
- Request deletion of your account and all associated data
- Export your conversation data
- Object to processing

5. Children
Hi AI Chat is intended for users 13 and older (16+ in the EU). We do not knowingly collect data from younger users.
6. Changes to this policy
We'll post any changes here. Material changes will be announced on the homepage. Continued use after a change means you accept the new policy.
